Trouble

The trouble is,
I can't make changes,
I've settled in,
But it doesn't mean a thing,
There's a fissure in my mind,
Structures compromised,
With passing time,
The fractures multiply.
They say,
With confidence,
Like an advertisement,
An empty commitment,
A promise built in grains of sand.
My dosages,
Are regulated in,
A colored bin,
With the weekdays listed,
If I take my medicine,
They'll let me in,
Admission is,
A baby blue prescription.

Fool's Gold
03:24
|
|
||
You look divine,
But underneath it all,
there isn't much to find
It's no surprise,
This excavation wasted time
I've held precious stone
That crumbled in my palms
Your fool's gold lay below
With fabricated glow
I pace the mines
Beneath your collar bones
There isn't much to find
The veins have dried
This excavation wasted time
I've held precious stone
That crumbled in my palms
Your fool's gold lay below
With fabricated glow
